Sabo PR Promotes Brian Greenleaf and Amy Snow-Buckner

Sabo PR has promoted Brian Greenleaf and Amy Snow-Buckner to senior directors in recognition of their exemplary leadership and service to the firm.

Both Greenleaf and Snow-Buckner are responsible for managing key accounts with the integrated communication firm, leading strategy, development and execution of various campaigns and tactics. In their new roles, they will take on expanded responsibilities related to client management, business development and day-to-day operations to support the continued growth of the firm.

As proven leaders in their field, their work has been recognized with numerous awards from the West Michigan Public Relations Society of America, or WMPRSA.

Greenleaf joined the firm in 2014 and focuses his practice on marketing and brand communications, design, digital media and crisis communications. He was promoted to managing director of Sabo PR in 2018.

He currently leads several accounts, including FloraCraft, the Children’s Healing Center, Gerald R. Ford International Airport, Magnus Capital Partners and Kent District Library. His work over 10 years with Sabo PR has spanned the energy, health care, manufacturing, municipal, security, aviation, financial and education industries. Prior to joining Sabo PR, Greenleaf worked in the nonprofit sector managing marketing and communications for a local human services agency.

His key accomplishments include:

  • Successfully executing multi-channel marketing campaigns for new products, brands and services with strong visual representation, earned and paid media, digital engagement and creative messaging.
  • Assisting clients through critical issues, including millage campaigns, employee unrest, cybersecurity incidents, leadership changes, sexual misconduct and employee recruitment.
  • Leading the firm’s design services to deliver visually compelling branded materials across print, broadcast and digital platforms alongside internal resources and external vendors.

Active in the community, Greenleaf serves on the scholarship committee of the Economic Club of Grand Rapids and the Loving Day committee for Ebony Road Players. He is the past president of Families Through Adoption and served on the planning committee for LTAC Arts and event committee for the Children’s Healing Center.

Greenleaf graduated from Grand Valley State University with a bachelor’s degree in marketing.

Snow-Buckner returned to Sabo PR in 2020 after spending nearly five years with the City of Grand Rapids, including three as managing director of communications. Snow-Buckner now leads the firm’s growing municipal practice, which includes clients such as the cities of Berkley, East Grand Rapids, Kentwood, Lowell, Rockford and Wyoming, as well as Berrien County. She also manages many other client needs with her extensive experience in strategic communications, crisis management and media relations.

Her key accomplishments include:

  • Leading communications in response to public safety issues, employee misconduct, executive leadership transitions and PFAS, among many other matters.
  • Managing successful education campaigns around municipal millage ballot proposals.
  • Positioning clients in the business, education, municipal and nonprofit sectors as subject matter experts in the media and their respective industries.

Prior to joining Sabo PR in January 2015 as senior associate, Snow-Buckner managed Habitat for Humanity of Kent County’s Women Build program and donor relations. Before that, she was Mel Trotter Ministries’ public relations officer and grants manager. She began her career at the Grand Rapids Press/MLive as a copy editor and then later as an online sports producer for more than 13 years.

She is a longtime community volunteer and currently serves as board chair for Girls on the Run West Michigan.

Snow-Buckner graduated from Michigan State University with a bachelor’s degree in journalism.
