Cayla Smith Joins Sabo PR
Sabo PR, LLC, an integrated communications firm based in Grand Rapids, has welcomed Cayla Smith as an associate.
Smith brings a wealth of experience in journalism and social media management gained from her roles in newsrooms, municipalities, higher education and media publishing. In her new role with Sabo PR, Smith will focus on media relations, social media management, internal communications and crisis management on behalf of Kentwood and a diverse range of clients.

Prior to joining Sabo PR, Smith worked as a multimedia journalist at the College for Creative Studies in Detroit, where she was responsible for a number of written communications and event coverage. She also served as social media manager and content strategist for Issue Media Group, where she managed social media accounts for various publications and provided guidance on social media best practices.
Smith’s brings municipal experience from her role as digital communications assistant for the city of Detroit where wrote and designed newsletters, created digital content and produced several series for Michigan’s largest city.

Smith holds a Bachelor of Arts in journalism from Oakland University and a Master of Science in communications with a specialization in public relations from Syracuse University. Originally from Beverly Hills, Michigan, she now resides in Grand Rapids with her cat, Ginger.
