When’s the last time your lunch was prepared by a Michelin-starred chef? Hunter and Mary Ann spent a morning at the new Manchester Market coordinating media interviews in advance of Saturday’s grand opening. Justin Dalenberg and Ken Heers transformed an abandoned grocery store into 17,000 feet of prime retail, including a butchery, bakery, commissary, farmers market, full-service grocery store, coffee bar and gelateria. The pair gathered some of Michigan’s leading culinary and hospitality experts, including two who had worked in Michelin-starred restaurants, to create the Manchester Market, which is open daily 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. And yes, Hunter and Mary Ann enjoyed a fabulous lunch – and came home loaded down with treats.
