Sabo PR, LLC has promoted Katelyn Crain to senior associate.

Since joining the full-service communications firm last fall, Crain has taken on roles of increasing responsibility with a broad range of clients, including Cascade Charter Township, Warner Norcross + Judd, National Heritage Academies and others. She has been integral in crisis communications for clients, along with leading internal efforts to enhance SPR’s intern experience and streamline editing.

Sabo PR grew 26 percent last year, adding new clients and new projects in its corporate, municipal, nonprofit and education practice groups. Now in its 15th year, Sabo PR provides media relations, crisis and litigation management, photography and videography, employee communications, social media management and marketing support to some of West Michigan’s leading organizations, including Amway, Woodland Mall, Kent District Library, Children’s Healing Center, Emmanuel Hospice, and the cities of East Grand Rapids, Kentwood and Wyoming, among others.

Prior to joining Sabo PR, Crain was a communications specialist at Ferris State University, where she assisted with university marketing and recruiting initiatives. Additionally, she worked at Eisbrenner Public Relations in roles of increasingly responsibility where she was responsible for client and project management.

Crain graduated from Ferris State University in 2013 with a bachelor’s degree in journalism and technical communication and is currently finishing her master’s degree in business administration, which will be awarded this summer.

A native of Ortonville, Michigan, she now resides in Grand Rapids with her boyfriend, Kevin, their playful mutt, Marley and spoiled cat, Mow.
