Katelyn Crain has joined Sabo PR, a full-service communication firm, as an associate.
Crain brings a solid background in strategic marketing, content development and public relations, with experience working in both an agency and educational setting to her new role with the Grand Rapids-based agency. As the newest member of the Sabo PR team, Crain will assist clients with communications, crisis and brand management, and social and digital initiatives.
“I jumped at the opportunity to join Sabo PR, as the responsibilities of this role are so well-aligned with my passions and interests,” Crain said. “I’m looking forward to the many new challenges and learning opportunities this role will offer, and am excited to develop and grow new relationships with several excellent West Michigan companies and organizations.”
Sabo PR provides media relations, crisis and litigation management, photography and videography, employee communications, and marketing support to some of West Michigan’s leading businesses, municipalities, education providers and non-profits, including Warner Norcross & Judd LLP, National Heritage Academies, Woodland Mall, Kent District Library, Children’s Healing Center, Emmanuel Hospice, and the cities of East Grand Rapids, Kentwood and Wyoming, among others.

Prior to joining Sabo PR, Crain served as a communications specialist at Ferris State University, where she assisted with university marketing and recruiting initiatives. Additionally, she worked at Eisbrenner Public Relations, Michigan’s leading business-to-business PR firm, in roles including account coordinator, assistant account executive and account executive, where she was responsible for client and project management.
Crain graduated from Ferris State University in 2013 with a bachelor’s degree in journalism and technical communication, and is currently pursuing a master’s degree in business administration. She anticipates graduating with her MBA in 2018.
A native of Ortonville, Michigan, she now resides in Grand Rapids with her boyfriend, Kevin, their playful mutt, Marley and spoiled cat, Mow.
